The Perspective With the Ball

The most challenging part of studying drawing has to be perspective, especially fisheye perspective—that one really trips me up. I still don’t fully understand the concept. And don’t even get me started on figuring out how to manage shadows created by light sources!

As practice, I tried sketching the final scene from my all-time favorite Friends episode, “The One with the Ball.” Every time I watch it, I can’t help but laugh.

When I’m feeling down, watching Ross and Joey throw the ball, Monica keep it going, Chandler nearly dropping it, Rachel disappointed with the “anti-Christ cat,” and Phoebe deciding she’s just not in the mood to play always lifts my spirits.

Thank you so much, Friends! I can’t wait to use scenes from you as drawing inspiration again in the future!
